The New Jordans 2016 line originated back in 1984 when Michael Jordan himself wore them as a rookie. After signing MJ to a $2.5 million (plus royalties), the first product was produced. In 1985 Nike designed Jordan’s first shoe the Air Jordan 1. The Air Jordan line features a unique logo; our beloved Jumpman. The Jumpman logo was first introduced on the Air Jordan 3. The logo has now become iconic being used on both sneakers and apparel. The Air Jordan craze began when the NBA originally banned the first pair, due to the lack of white present on the shoe. Michael wore them anyway and the marketing campaign for Nike was set. The brand has yet to slow down it’s progressive ways, proving that they are still pushing the limits with their innovative, new technologies. Today we get a first look at the Air Jordan 6 “First Championship” a shoe that more closely resembles Mike’s patriotism than anything else. The surprising addition to the Year of the Six, the shoe features a simplstic yet premium white leather upper while a translucent outsole matches the tongue.
Said to be one of the rarest Cheap Jordans 2016 in existence, 30 pairs of these “First Championship” VIs were given to members of the 2014 USA national team including goalie Tim Howard. With an official color code of “White/Red-Dark Blue,” these VIs are much more interesting than their name suggests. The entire upper has been given a reflective 3M treatment which is reminiscent of the Air Jordan V “Green Bean” and Air Jordan 5Lab3 series.
